Next James Bond Odds: Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, and Rege-Jean Page All Tied For Best Odds

Rege-Jean Page has been the favorite to take over as the new James Bond for the entirety of 2022. However, that’s no longer the case. The Bridgerton star has lost his grip on the role and is now tied atop the market with Superman’s Henry Cavill and The Wire’s Idris Elba.

Page saw a major drop in his odds, going from +400 last month to +500 now. That’s a change from an implied 20% chance to be James Bond to a 16.7% chance. Those are his lowest odds since November of 2021 when he was given +1200 odds.

Meanwhile, Henry Cavill and Iris Elba both saw their odds shorten. Cavill, who’s long been second to Page on the market, say his odds go from +560 to +500. A minor move, but one that improved his chances from an implied 15.2% to 16.7%. Elba had a much bigger odds movement going from +1200 to +500, which sees his chances improve from 7.7% to 16.7%. Elba’s odds movement is the largest since Rege-Jean Page went from +1200 to +400 in January.

Bettors are split between Page and Cavill. Over the last 30 days, Page has seen 13.4% of bets while Cavill has seen 12.5%. A near tie at the top of the market. Elba isn’t seen in the same light, though bettors have backed him significantly. He’s seen 9.1% of bets, which has him fourth on the market. Former favorite Tom Hardy is third with 9.3% of bets. However, Hardy doesn’t have the same backing from the sportsbooks that he once did, as he’s given +720 odds, or an implied 12.2% chance. Making him the clear fourth choice on the market.
