MTV VMA Odds: Can Harry Styles Win Artist of the Year Over Lizzo, Bad Bunny?

The MTV Music Awards are almost here, and sportsbooks feel strongly about who’s going to win Best Artist this year. They believe that the award is Harry Styles’ to win with nobody else really in the vicinity.

MTV VMA Artist of the Year Odds

Styles is given -400 odds to take home the MTV VMA Artist of the Year award, that’s an implied 80% chance. Those are by far the best odds given to any performer to win any award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

If it’s not Styles then there are two artists who are given an outside shot. Bad Bunny is given -400 odds, or an implied 20% chance to win Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, Lizzo is given +800 odds, or an implied 11.1% chance. No other nominee is given even a 10% chance to take home the Artist of the Year award.

Sportsbooks think this year is a slam dunk. It’s Harry Styles’ award to lose. Of course, last year, Olivia Rodrigo was the favorite, and Justin Bieber took home the award. In fact, Ariana Grande was the last favorite to take home the award in 2019.

That said, Harry Styles is only the second nominee since 2015 to have at least a 50% chance to win the award. The other was Cardi B in 2018, and she lost to Camila Cabello who was an incredible longshot at +2000, which are worse odds than any nominee has this year.
