2024 Election Odds: Joe Biden Favorite to Win in 2024
Joe Biden has been installed as the bookmakers’ favorite to win the 2024 US Election, just days after being tipped to win in November.
Oddsmakers cut Biden’s odds yesterday from +800 to +600, meaning that he has nipped ahead of long-time favorite Mike Pence; the current VP’s odds were lengthened from +600 to +800.
Put simply, these figures indicate an implied probability of 14.29% that Biden manages to win in four years – whether or not he wins in four months.
Oddschecker spokesperson Pete Watt : “Much has been made of Biden becoming frontrunner with the bookmakers, and it’s of little surprise to many given Trump’s handling of coronavirus and the George Floyd protests in recent months.”
“However, given that Mr Biden will be just shy of 82 years old on Election Day in 2024 – and there are also concerns about his cognition - it is certainly more of a surprise to see him at the top of the market.”
