2020 Democratic VP Betting Odds: Susan Rice & Kamala Harris Confuse Betting Markets

It’s been a crazy few days in the betting markets for the 2020 Democratic Vice President. Firstly, we had Gretchen Whitmer extremely well backed from 40/1 (2.4% implied chance) into 4/1 (20% implied chance), then the money arrived for Susan Rice who briefly became the betting favorite for the gig.
Now, the UK bookmakers can’t make up their minds and are finding it very difficult to split Susan Rice and Kamala Harris on the job to be Joe Biden’s potential number two. Earlier in the year Harris was as short as -162 to be the VP candidate, but now the race looks much, much closer. She’s just about clinging to favoritism as you can see from the table below, but the betting odds suggest it’s too close to call at the moment.
