US Election Odds: Meghan Markle's 2024 Election Odds Cut

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the global news again this week after posting a video encouraging everyone to get out and vote ahead of the 2020 US election. The social media voted prompted a typical Donald Trump response. The President commented "I'm not a fan of hers" when asked about Meghan Markle at a press conference on Wednesday.

The pressure is beginning to mount on Donald Trump ahead of the 2020 US election, the current President was the bookmakers long-time favorite to win in November. However, Joe Biden now tops the odds market, with his US election odds implying he has a 54.5% chance of winning. Donald Trump's US election odds imply he's got a 47.6% chance of being victorious.

However, it's a different market which has grabbed our attention in the last couple of days. We reported back in April that Meghan Markle was +10000 (100/1) to win the 2024 US election, however, those odds have been cut.

One online UK bookmaker now has Meghan Markle at +5000 (50/1) to win the 2024 US election, which implies she now has a 2% chance of becoming the President. We must admit, this seems a very unlikely move for Markle, and we doubt there's much chance she'll decide to step into politics. However, as 2020 has shown, strange things can happen.
