You would think everyone was sick of politics news after such a boisterous November, however, online bettors haven’t waited when it comes to wagering who they think will win the 2024 US election.

If the 2020 election is anything to follow, the 2024 election will become the biggest bet on event in history. Around $564 million was wagered on the US election with UK sportsbook Betfair, which made it their biggest ever bet on event overtaking the 2016 election.

To put those numbers into context, there was just over $71.5 million wagered on the McGregor vs Mayweather fight.

There’s already over $100k wagered on the 2024 election. Sportsbooks have Kamala Harris as the betting favorite to win the election, with the current President, Joe Biden being installed as the second favorite.

Kamala Harris’ 2024 election odds imply that she’s got a 20% chance of winning, whereas, Joe Biden’s 2024 election odds imply a 16.7% chance.

Donald Trump’s 2024 Election Odds

Could Donald Trump making a successful return in 2024? Well the sportsbooks think there’s a 10% chance that Trump wins the election. If it was a Joe Biden vs Donald Trump re-match, we are sure that betting number would creep much closer to the $1 billion mark.

Donald Trump has in fact been the most wagered candidate in the betting, accounting for 36% of all bets placed this week.

However, a rather surprising name polls second in that list. This week, just over 11.5% of all bets wagered on the 2024 election odds market have been on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Ocasio-Cortez’s odds imply she’s only got a 2% chance of winning the 2024 election, but that’s not put online bettors off.

Could Jeff Bezos be poised to make a dash in politics, well with recent happenings this wouldn’t come as a shock at all. The Amazon founder actually has better odds than Pete Buttigieg, and has the same price as Nikki Haley. Jeff Bezos odds imply he has a 4.8% chance.

Other notable names in the betting market include, Ivanka Trump who has a 2.4 chance of winning. According to the odds, Dwayne Johnson has a 2% chance of winning the election and Michelle Obama a 1.7% chance.
