Our picks for today's MLB action
ANALYSIS

Here are Today’s MLB Picks:

Mariners @ Royals

Seattle has now scored at least 6 runs in 6 straight games, as their bats have been lighting it up so far this season and they've scored the most runs in the MLB so far this season. This offensive productivity has contributed heavily to their 12-2 start, and I like this to continue against the pitching of Jorge Lopez, who has posted a 4.09 ERA across two starts this season against the White Sox and Tigers, teams whose offenses have not looked nearly as good as that of the M's. Mike Leake has looked solid so far this season and is coming off consecutive quality starts, and I'm riding with Seattle.

1u - SEA Mariners ML @ -137

Dodgers @ Cardinals

The Cards have won 5 in a row after last night's 7-2 drubbing of the Dodgers, and they'll look to complete a four-game sweep of Los Angeles tonight. Michael Wacha will pitch for St. Louis and he's looked really good so far this season, allowing no more than 1 run in either of his first two starts. Meanwhile, the Dodgers will start Walker Buehler and he's posted a 6.75 ERA so far this season, and I doubt he'll get much run support today with Wacha on the mound and the fact that Los Angeles has scored just 7 runs in the first 3 games of this series.

1u - STL Cardinals ML @ +122

Pirates @ Cubs

Got a big win on a value play last night by taking the Pirates at +160 as they cruised to a 5-2 victory over the Cubs, knocking Chicago down to a 3-8 record. They've now won 5 of their last 6 games and will go out against Jose Quintana, who was used for relief in the second game of the season and then had a disastrous first start, allowing 8 ER in just 3 IP. Joe Musgrove will pitch for the Pirates and he has yet to allow a run this season so far after 9 IP in two games.

1u - PIT Pirates ML @ +118

Rockies @ Giants

I'm surprised that the total for this game is so low - neither of these teams have been scoring too fruitfully but these pitchers certainly can give up runs, as Jon Gray has posted a 5.68 ERA in two starts after last season's 5.12 ERA, and Jeff Samardzija finished last season with a whopping 6.25 ERA. The total has reached 7 runs in 5 straight Rockies games and 5 of the last 7 Giants games and I'm siding with the over in this one.

1u - Over 7 Total Runs @ -120
