Our picks for today's MLB action
ANALYSIS

Another big slate, and more picks!

Here are Today’s MLB Picks:

Royals @ Rays

This is a fantastic spot for Tampa Bay, as they've cruised to victory twice in a row against the Royals and will look to lock down the sweep today. To sweeten the pot, Blake Snell will take the mound for the Rays and he's posted an impressive 2.16 ERA across 25 IP with a 9.00 K/BB ratio. Jakob Junis has been leaking runs for the Royals and I think Tampa won't have many issues with this one.

2u - TB Rays -1.5 @ -120

Brewers @ Cardinals

This is the 10th time already that these teams are facing each other, with the total having gone over 8.5 runs in 7 of the first 9 contests. Neither of the pitchers in this one have found much success this season with Chacin sporting a 5.92 ERA and Wainwright a 4.74. St. Louis is scoring the 2nd-most runs in the league while Christian Yelich has been on an absolute tear for Milwaukee and I'm liking the over here.

1.5u - Over 8.5 Total Runs @ -110

Giants @ Blue Jays

Neither of these teams is prone to putting too many runs on the board, as the Giants score the 2nd-fewest runs in the MLB while Toronto ranks in the bottom 10 in scoring as well. Both of these pitchers have been solid so far, and Clay Buchholz especially is a next-level talent in my opinion who is hard for any team to score on, let alone a reeling offense like the Giants. Take the under.

1.5u - Under 8.5 Total Runs @ -105

Diamondbacks @ Pirates

I believe the line is a bit skewed for this one due to some late-game magic from Arizona in recent games, but the pitching matchup in this one is too favorable for Pittsburgh for me to pass up. Merrill Kelly has struggled as you would expect of a relative newcomer to the majors, while Jordan Lyles has looked filthy up there posting a 0.53 ERA across 3 starts - Arizona will have a tough time getting anything going while he's on the mound.

1.5u - PIT Pirates ML @ -120

Tigers @ Red Sox

Value play here - despite Vegas giving them some pretty juiced-out lines lately, the

Red Sox still aren't doing too much to inspire confidence. Detroit took both games of yesterday's doubleheader from them and will try to clinch the series tonight. Tyson Ross has been serviceable posting a 3.38 ERA so far this season, while Eduardo Rodriguez has been a disaster, posting a 7.20 ERA through 20 IP as he's enduring a rough start to the season, and I just don't think Boston should be favored quite so heavily here.

1u - DET Tigers ML @ +180

Dodgers @ Cubs

Chicago took a decisive victory yesterday from the Dodgers 7-2, and will trot out staff ace Cole Hamels who's 3-0 with a 2.77 ERA this season. I think he's a lot more consistent than Walker Buehler, who will start for the Dodgers with a 5.40 ERA, and given that Hamels has given up just one run combined in his last two starts I think we're getting a great price on the Cubs.

1.5u - CHC Cubs ML @ +100
