Tuesday sees a loaded 15-game evening slate, with every team taking to the mound. We have some fascinating matchups and some interesting values to pick from.

Here are Today’s MLB Picks:

Mets @ Braves

This could easily be the game of the day as two pitchers in spectacular form take to the mound. Jacob deGrom and his 3.38 ERA are not often outclassed, but Julio Teheran has been immense this season. Teheran has a 2.92 ERA and has allowed just four earned runs in his last eight outings. In his last three home outings he has pitched 16 innings, struck out 12 and allowed just one earned run. It is always hard to pick against deGrom, but he is 3-6 on the season, due to the lack of run support he has had from his offense. Combine that with the Mets being 14-24 on the road, and way the Braves have been playing lately means I am going to take the underdog home team in this one

1u – ATL Braves ML @ +110

Indians @ Rangers

The under just scraped in last night as Mike Clevinger did his best on his return to send the game over. However, the odds are in favour of today’s game going under as well. Zack Plesac has been solid to start the season, allowing just eight earned runs to score in 24 2/3 innings. He did get a little blown up last time out, but generally the results have been good this season. As for Adrian Sampson, he also had a bad last outing, but his home form has been immense this year. In 46 2/3 innings in Texas he has a 2.70 ERA and has allowed an opponent wOBA of just .297. The weather in Texas is going to be roasting hot, which does not suit the under, but the wind is looking likely to be blowing in from right field, neutralising some of the heat. The neutral weather combined with the interesting pitching stats mean the under looks juicy to me in this one.

1u – Under 10.5 Total Runs @ -108

Marlins @ Cardinals

The Marlins and Cardinals played some interesting games in Miami last week, with the Cardinals taking the series 2-1. In that series there were 22 runs scored, at an average of 7.33 runs per game. In the first game of this series the Cardinals on 5-0, and now the second game has an intriguing pitching matchup. Jordan Yamamoto will be on the mound for the Marlins, having pitched seven shutout innings in his debut against the very same Cardinals. Yamamoto has been reasonably impressive in the minors and I am excited to see what he can do going forward. On the other side is Jack Flaherty, who has been up and down this season. However, his home form has been very impressive, allowing just a 2.25 ERA in 40 innings. Additionally, the wind is going to be blowing in from left field, which should help keep the scoring down in this one. The under is the way to go in this one.

1u – Under 8 Total Runs @ +100
