MLB Picks & Parlays Wednesday 06/19
Wednesday sees our first split slate of the week as some teams are travelling after the games. We also have two games between the Phillies and Nationals, meaning have 16 games spread across the afternoon and evening.
Here are Today’s MLB Picks:
A fascinating matchup between the old horse and the young stud of the AL East. Neither has been incredible this year but both have performed well. Their previous matchup in New York a month ago saw them give up two earned runs combined. The weather is set to be a little wet and with wind blowing in towards the plate. Additionally in games with a line set at 9-or-9.5, the under has hit in 55% of the Rays road games and 78% of Yankees home games.
1u – Under 8.5 Total Runs @ -117
Tigers @ Pirates
I am expecting Jordan Zimmermann to return with some rust and struggle in this game. Trevor Williams has had some injury issues but he has been solid on his last couple of outings. This could be a low scoring affair but the Pirates rank seventh in batting average in the majors this season. That could be an issue for a pitcher in Zimmermann who does not strike people out.
1u – PIT Pirates -1.5 @ +170
I’m going to stick with the under between these two teams because I just don’t see both offenses putting enough together to hit the over. Wind blowing out to center field will help offense, but Trevor Richards throws so much off speed that he should reduce the amount of hard contact he gives up. As for the Marlins, they ranks 29th in runs scored and 30th in slugging this season so worry about them for the over is not an issue for me.
1u – Under 8 Total Runs @ -108
