MLB Picks & Parlays Monday 07/29
We have a quiet Monday in major league baseball with just seven games taking to the field. It is an interesting set of games, but what value can be found on the slate?
Here are Today’s MLB Picks:
This should be a really good matchup between two very good pitchers. Patrick Corbin has been superb at home this season, with a 1.68 ERA in 69 2/3 innings. Dallas Keuchel has also been extremely solid this season since signing with the Braves. He has not allowed more than four earned runs in any game so far and has gone six or more innings four times. Despite the trend for these two offenses to go over in the last few games, the trend in game with a line of 9-or-9.5 has predominantly been to go under (5-15).
1u – Under 9.5 Total Runs @ -117
A matchup between Sonny Gray and Jordan Lyles feels like a massive mismatch. Prior to this season you may have expected it would be Gray that was the problem, but right now it is actually Lyles. These two pitchers are trending in very different directions. In his last four outings Lyles has allowed 20 earned runs in just 12 innings. In contrast Gray has allowed just four earned runs in his last four innings, spanning 27 innings. The Reds offense does struggle at times but they should be able to get after Lyles and give Gray enough of a cushion that the Reds can win with a decent margin.
1u – CIN Reds -1.5 @ +110
