Daily Picks 10/13: Tight Call For Game Two
After the surprise of the Masahiro Tanaka shut out last night we have the Yankees and Astros back on the field for Game 2 of their series. The Astros will roll out the first of their aces in the form of Justin Verlander, while the Yankees will turn to James Paxton.
Here are Today’s MLB Picks:
New York Yankees @ Houston Astros
1u – Total Runs Over 7.5 @ -106
- James Paxton has a 4.33 ERA on the road this season
- Yankees road games with a line of 7.5 or below have seen the under go 4-1-1
This series is going to be a night mare to call because of the contrast in hitting and pitching on the two sides. This game we get the incredible Justin Verlander against the Yankees impressive lineup. We also get the Astros good but not incredible lineup against the mediocre James Paxton. In his last 5 2/3 innings Paxton has allowed five earned runs and this Astros lineup will be desperate to bounce back after being shut out last night. I also expect the Yankees to be able to get a couple of runs against Verlander, so take advantage of the low total in this one.
