Los Angeles Angels at Seattle Mariners Predictions

If a pitching matchup could be billed as two bulls going at it, this series finale from T-Mobile Park would definitely fit the label.

Though it’s only been two starts, the 6-foot-1 Oklahoman Bundy appears to finally have harnessed his full potential, something he only showed flashes of during his handful of seasons in Baltimore.

Hooking up with pitching coach guru Mickey Callaway may have done the trick, as Bundy has begun his campaign with a pair of quality starts in which the former fourth-overall draft pick looked decisively good. In the process, Bundy also punched out 15 batters in those 12.2 innings compared to just two walks. I don’t think this is a fluke at all, with the 27-year-old making a case to legitimately break out. He has a nice assignment to keep it going.

Standing in the other corner is another behemoth, the 6-foot-4, 235-pound Walker, who is also looking to follow up some masterful work from his last start.

Walker was nothing short of dazzling his last time out, limiting a hard-hitting Oakland A’s lineup to just a single hit across seven shutout innings. He also punched out eight and walked only two.

As a longtime fan of the big right-hander since he first came up, I can assure you to get used to those types of performances again now that it looks like he’s back to full health (finally).

Remember, Walker is someone who looked like a very polished starter with a bright future only a few years ago. Injuries limited him to just four starts the last two years but based on his velocity in the early going, Walker can be counted on to continue rounding back into old form.

Being a day game after a nighttime affair, figure we’ll also get a boost with maybe at least one or two key regulars being rested.
