Braves vs. Astros - World Seris Game 3 Odds

The Braves and Astros are all tied up at one in the World Series and will now play the next three games in Atlanta. With the Braves stealing one game on the road, Atlanta has the chance to win out at home and clinch the World Series. It’s going to be difficult, but it’s a legitimate scenario along with all other potential options. The most logical case scenario would be for the Braves to go up 3-2 in the World Series, needing to win just one more game on the road against Houston.

Tonight, it’ll be Ian Anderson on the mound for the Braves and Luis Garcia on the mound for the Astros. Here are some props to consider for World Series Game 3, knowing those two will get the ball to start things off. Astros vs. Braves World Series Game 3 Prop Bets

Braves Over 3.5 Team Total (-139)

Luis Garcia had a field day against the Red Sox in his last start but don’t expect that to continue moving forward. In his first two postseason starts this year, Garcia allowed seven hits and 10 runs with six walks and five strikeouts in 3.2 innings.

Things were oddly different last week for Garcia, but the old Garcia should return. In the last 30 days, he’s walked 13.2 percent of batters and is giving up 53.3 percent hard contact. To lefties, he’s allowed a .505 wOBA and ISO of .469 in the last 38 plate appearances against. Bats like Eddie Rosario, Freddie Freeman, and Joc Pederson all have potential to do some damage offensively from the left side against Garcia to help this team total get over.

Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

In the last 30 days, Ian Anderson has faced 31 left-handed batters. Against those 31 left-handed batters, he has struck out just 6.5 percent. Meanwhile, Alvarez has a .367 ISO and wOBA of .488 in the last 36 plate appearances against righties with just 10 percent ground balls and 50 percent line drive.

Additionally, 50 percent of balls hit in play by Alvarez in the last 30 days against righties have been line drives. Therefore, I like Alvarez to hit a line drive into the gaps or down the line and cash this ticket against a pitcher who has struggled to get strikeouts against lefties.

Eddie Rosario Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)

Eddie Rosario is currently batting leadoff for the Braves, giving him extra opportunity to do damage at the plate. He’s excelled against righties with a .267 ISO and wOBA of .444 in the last 30 days against right-handed pitching.

Meanwhile, Garcia has a wOBA of .505 and ISO of .469 in his last 38 plate appearances against lefties. Rosario has been red hot in the postseason, and I expect that to continue going up against Garcia.
