MLB Futures Predictions: Will the Philadelphia Phillies and Texas Rangers Exceed Expectations?

The MLB season begins in a week, so it’s time to lock in some futures. I am going to get into a couple of my favorite futures in this article today. We have had a lot of success on these over the years, and I personally feel the futures market is the best market to make money in. The first future I am going to get into is going to be the Philadelphia Phillies team total over.

Philadelphia Phillies 2022 Futures Prediction

The Phillies are slated to have a top ten rotation and a top seven lineup in the MLB. The additions of Kyle Schrwaberr paired with Nick Castellanos make this one of the toughest lineups to beat in the league. Their rotation improved tremendously from a season ago after Zack Wheeler turned in a CY Young caliber season, and they discovered southpaw, Ranger Suarez. Aaron Nola also had one of the worst years of his career, and I expect a big bounce-back season from the right-hander. Bryce Harper took home an MVP award last season, and he will look to repeat this year.

This Phillies team is filled with talent, and I believe their schedule favors this number. The division itself will be good, but I think they will still fair well in the east. The Mets and Braves will be tough games, but the Nationals and Marlins should give them a good amount of wins. I believe we are getting a steal of a number, so I am all over this play.

Texas Rangers 2022 Futures Prediction

The second play I am going with is the Texas Rangers team total. This number is way off, and I actually think they go over this number very easily. This is a Texas lineup that is going to be tough to pitch to with the additions of Marcus Semien and Corey Seager, two MVP-caliber players. The Rangers also have the third easiest schedule in the MLB, and their division got much weaker than a season ago.

The Oakland Athletics blew up their team while the Astros lost their star shortstop in, Carlos Correa. The issue for Texas likely comes on the mound as they do not have a great starting rotation or bullpen, but I believe their offense will overcome that and win them a lot of games this season. The number here is simply too short so let’s take advantage of this.
