Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction: Don't Expect Offense on Opening Day
It is finally back! The MLB season will begin Thursday, and I could not be more fired up. MLB has been one of my favorite sports to bet on over the years, and this is gonna be a hell of a season. The Atlanta Braves took the league by storm a season ago, winning the World Series.
The MLB off-season has been one of the craziest in years, watching numerous star players change uniforms. The two teams involved here did not see a ton of change in their offseason. The Milwaukee Brewers, the defending champions of the NL Central, will head to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Cubs.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction
The Cubs will look to have a bounce-back season after blowing up their team a season ago at the tease deadline. The Cubs said goodbye to some Chicago legends as they traded Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, and Javier Baez, who were all critical parts of their World Series team. This current Cubs roster is one not considered too dangerous. They are more so in a rebuild mode, but they did make headlines when they signed Seiya Suzuki. Suzuki, who reigns from Japan is one of the most appealing MLB rookies in years. The twenty-seven-year-old outfielder has high expectations and is one of the favorites to win NL rookie of the year. The Cubs also added starting pitcher Marcus Stroman in the offseason, who will make a positive impact on this team.

The Brewers return the best starting pitching rotation in the MLB. The head of that comes in the form of defending CY Young champion Corbin Burnes. Burnes, a twenty-seven-year-old native of Bakersfield, California, is coming off the best year of his career. He will look to run back a year similar to the last.
The play I will back in this game will take the Chicago Cubs team total under 4.5. Burnes is one of the best arms in the game and will be pitching with supreme confidence to start the season. This Cubs lineup does not have a lot of depth, and they do not scare me at all. This is a team that I expect to struggle to score runs this season. This is a no-brainer to me with Burns on the dump tomorrow. The Brewers' bullpen is one of the best in the majors, especially the back end of their bullpen with Devin Williams and Josh Hader. I simply do not see how the Cubs rip off five runs against this pitching staff on opening day.
