Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers Best Bet: Expect Strikeouts from Corbin Burnes
I don't know if you've heard but it's Opening Day. That changes everything people. It's a whole new world from now until after the summer is over. We'll be betting random games in the middle of the day for the foreseeable future. We made it! To celebrate, we should find a random game today and just fire away on it. It doesn't even have to be the best play either. Just a pitcher strikeout prop that we can be proud to call our own.

Lucky for us, we've got the Chicago Cubs host the Milwaukee Brewers at 2:20pm ET. It checks all the boxes as it's a random game in the middle of the day but it's also on MLB Network. We can watch this thing play out! What's even better is, there is no chance our bet will lose since we get to back a strikeout beast against a team that strikes out like it's their job. What a world!
Corbin Burnes Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+115) - PointsBet
I had to go to PointsBet for this one because they have the best number. BetMGM is showing 6.5 for -150 and Barstool has 6.5 at -157. Pay them no mind. It's either FanDuel's 7.5 -102 or PointsBet's 7.5 for +115 we want. For some reason, DraftKings doesn't have a number yet but when they post one, I bet they opt for the 6.5 at crazy juice. I don't like it but if you have to then you have to.
This guy won the Cy Young Award last season so we know he's legit. he has a bazooka for a right arm and he knows how to use it. It's crazy. People say his fastball looks like a BB coming at the batter. How the hell can anyone hit a BB coming 90+ MPH at them? It's not fair.

Burnes looks like he might be even better coming into this season and that's saying something. (He didn't have fewer than nine strikeouts in a game until his eighth start last season.) In his last two starts this spring, he went at least five innings in his last two starts striking out at least six in both. That's not even the impressive part though.
The guy didn't throw more than 38 pitches in either of those games. Our boy Brad Keller throws that many in the first inning sometimes (shoutout Brad). With a six-man rotation on top of Burnes' efficiency, this guy could go all nine today (he likely won't but seven or eight would be cool). If that happens, watch out.

The opponent is half the battle in this game we play and the Cubs are a good one to target. They literally look like they are blindfolded in the batter's box at times. No team in MLB struck out more times in the spring than they did. I know it's spring but still. We're talking 26.3% as a team here people. Those are like Little League numbers.
* PointsBet lets you ladder up so if you guys want to YOLO this thing you can go 9+ for +180 and 10+ for +350. Since it's Opening Day, I'd even say 11+ at +650 may be worth a try. It's the first day of the season, it's fine.
