Minnesota Twins vs Seattle Mariners Prediction: Joe Ryan Will Go Off
We've got daytime action on a Friday and it would be irresponsible to ignore it. Especially since we're highly likely to be looking at the greatest bet of all time. The strikeout prop is the best thing to happen to MLB since steroids. They have the power to inject excitement into any game on any slate which is all we are ever looking for as gamblers. We just want to party. We're not here to bother anybody.

Lucky for us, we've got an absolute king on the hill today in Minnesota and the books are choosing to disrespect him. In fact, they're all over the guy he's pitching against which makes the situation even worse. The kicker is, this game starts at 4:10pm ET. It's literally the perfect springboard into the weekend. We're just living the dream out here.
Joe Ryan Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-105) (Bet $105 to Win $100)
*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*
The best line on this kid is at DraftKings. But both BetMGM and DraftKings are in the -110 to -113 range so it's playable there. Obviously, we want the best number so DraftKings it is. It should be noted that neither FanDuel nor PointsBet have a number for Ryan yet so you could always look there after you read this. Both of those books do escalators and it's a Friday afternoon which is perfect for escalators.
Joe Ryan cut his hair which kind of pissed me off but not enough to fade him. It's his hair so it's his call but I think he made a mistake. It's still kind of long in the back which is kind of cool but nothing like the look he had going on last season. He had the locks of a king and it could be why he was such a strikeout artist.
The telecast is going to call Ryan a rookie but he is not if you ask me. He started five games at the end of last season and whiffed at least five guys in four of them. The one time he didn't, he fanned four. Many of you remember the time he sat down 11 Cubs. People are still talking about it. Tell me how many rookies in other sports have dominated like that the year before their first one. This kid is special.
Today he gets the Seattle Mariners which is a good thing. First off, only four teams struck out more than they did last season. I know this is a new team but there are more than a few familiar faces. If Tom Murphy catches, you can already mark him down for at least one. Jarred Kelenic could easily whiff twice and you know Julio Rodriguez is going to be nervous in his first game. The kid had a couple of hat tricks in spring training so there is precedent. I think Ryan whiffs at least five today.
