Well, we got the first five money line at -115 for one day and after that one cashed easily yesterday I am already seeing -150-60 plus today. That sucks but it is for a pretty fair reason here in this spot as Max Scherzer will be making his Mets debut this evening.

If Mad Max is anything like the man he has been in years of late this evening he should dominate; other than a presumed pitch count and some rust from a rushed spring training I find it very hard to believe he has many issues. The man is a fierce competitor, a perfectionist and making his debut for his new club in a park that he is very comfortable in.
This Washington Nationals lineup is rough and will struggle to produce major numbers this season, even more so here in the early goings of the season against the man with three Cy Young Trophies under his belt and (unofficial) induction into the 3,000-career strikeout club last season.

We already saw the lack of production last night clearly and I find it hard to believe Mad Max struggles with anyone other than Juan Soto tonight. The Nationals lost 97 games last season and didn’t do a damn thing in the off season to show they are making a run at things this season.
Jon Gray has been solid at times but inconsistent over the majority of his career and the Mets offense seemed to have a nice spark to hit the ground yesterday in their 5-1 victory. The squad they have put on the field looks terrific and I think things fall into place for them here this season; Francisco Lindor had a piss poor start last year but finished the season playing some pretty great ball.
I am attacking the first five innings again here more than the full game because I do not know how long Max is in but it does not matter for me really; look for the Mets to move to 2-0 tonight as Max debuts and the Mets look to not mess up a game early here against a team that might lose 100 games this season.
