ANALYSIS

Toronto Blue Jay vs. Texas Rangers Prediction and More From Canada: Will the Blue Jays Roll?

I have dedicated an article every single day this week to the great county of Canada. We are red hot on these this week after the Blue Jays had the best gambling win in MLB history last night when they came back from down 7-0 to cover the -1 spread. That game last night is why gambling is the most beautiful thing in the world! I believe we have a sweep up our sleeve tonight, which is why I am giving you two bets for the teams who reign from the six. The first one, we are staying on the Diamond for a rematch between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Toronto Blue Jay vs. Texas Rangers Prediction

The Blue Jays improved their rotation in the offseason when they brought in veteran right-hander Kevin Gausman. Gausman will get the start today for the Jays, facing off with Texas Pitcher Dane Dunning. I give Gausman a sizeable advantage in this matchup today. Gausman is one of the most underrated arms in the game, and he will prove why today. Texas had a great day on offense yesterday, but the Blue Jays lineup was still too much to handle for this Texas staff. The Rangers are going to run into a lot of games this year where they will need their pitching to step up. The Rangers have a great lineup, but their below-average staff and bullpen are going to be their weakness this season. I am taking the Jays -1 again today because we kind of have to after what they just did for us. I believe Gausman will shut down this Texas lineup, and the Jays bats will continue to roll in this game today, feeding off their momentum from last night.

The second Canada special is going back to the ice. We have only lost one game on the ice this week so let’s close it strong. We have an original six battle here as the Montreal Canadiens take on the Leafs. The Canadiens pulled off the massive upset a season ago when they knocked the Leafs out of the playoffs. The Canadiens went on to lose in the Stanley cup. This season has been a nightmare, however, for the Canadiens. They are one of the worst teams in the NHL, playing with no sense of urgency at this point in the season. The Leafs, on the flip side of things, have been playing with a ton of confidence all season long. Auston Matthews scored his league-leading fifty-sixth goal on Thursday night to beat Dallas in overtime. The play I am going with in this game is going to be the Canadians +2.5. I know this is a scary play, but this is still an original six rivalry game, and so I expect them to show some fight in this spot. This could be a game the Leafs come out not taking too seriously and let their guard down early. I will take the Canadiens getting a couple of goals! Let’s stay hot and grab another sweep!
