We’re just getting a silly number here. Betting on the most star-studded team to do what they’re going to do a lot of this year, score runs. Here is my prediction for the Minnesota Twins vs Los Angeles Dodgers game.

The Dodgers are going to have many games this season where they score 15+. The team is a legitimate All-Star team and the bats have truthfully been underwhelmed so far and are due to an incredible performance. With that being said they have still scored 3+ runs in the first five innings in 2 out of their 3 games played. This just feels like a bet that needs to be 3.5 or heavily juiced at 2.5. Allow me to get into why I believe that without just saying “they look good on paper”.

Chris Archer will be making his Twins debut and there are many uncertainties around Archer's game. Archer has only pitched in 6 games in the past 3 years. From his lack of recent experience to facing off against a sleeping beast in LA, I could see this starting rough for the veteran pitcher. Archer's lifetime stats against these LA bats also lead me to believe that he will get destroyed. Archer has allowed 23 hits 68 at-bats and has also walked 16 of these batters. Mookie Betts specifically crushes Archer. Mookie has a .467 OBP against him with over 30 at-bats.

The Dodgers are 1-2 and are due to some positive regression. This feels like a candidate for a game where they can show the league why they are currently the championship favorites. I’m sure many people will be on Dodgers ML or Dodgers F5 bets today but I just can’t trust Andrew Heaney. I would rather not have to watch him with my money on the line and put all of my focus on these elite batters. Betts, Freeman, Muncy, and Trea/Justin Turner are five of the best fear bats in the league. They will erupt soon enough. Let's hope tonight they show their frustration of losing the first series to Colorado and pop off.
