Kansas City Royals vs Detroit Tigers Prediction: Can Kris Bubic Get Through an Inning in his Second Start?
Between the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers, runs have been hard to come by. However, the Detroit Tigers might be in prime position to put up a whole lot of runs tonight, facing a left-handed pitcher in Kris Bubic, who couldn't even get out of the first inning last game. However, the Royals might not get the bulk of the runs knowing that the Tigers will send out Matt Manning who pitched a quality start in his 2022 debut against the Red Sox.
Can the Tigers earn a victory over the Royals for the third straight game? Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Saturday's game between the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals.

Kansas City Royals vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction
The Detroit Tigers haven't been the most electric offense this season. However, the offense has done enough, keeping the Tigers at .500 through the first eight games of the season. Detroit will take on left-handed pitcher Kris Bubic, who struggled badly in his 2022 debut. Bubic allowed five. runs on three hits, including two walks and no strikeouts in just .2 innings, pitched against the Guardians. Dating back to last season, Bubic has a 4.90 xFIP with just 20.5% strikeouts and 10.9% walks. Bubic is able to induce ground balls but has allowed over 21% line-drive contact. Lefties are hitting a .360 wOBA and ISO of .282 in 93 plate appearances but what matters more is righties hitting a .331 wOBA and ISO of .181. Bubic has faced just 93 lefties to 459 righties dating back to last season. The Tigers' lineup should include at least eight righties in the lineup. The projected lineup includes Javier Baez, who has a .272 ISO and wOBA of .400 against lefties in 140 plate appearances dating back to last season. The entire projected lineup has a .194 ISO and wOBA of .349 along with a combined 24.2% line drive percentage. Meanwhile, Matt Manning will take the hill for the Tigers. Manning had a terrific outing against the Red Sox, allowing just one run, off one home run, and two strikeouts. Obviously, Manning didn't earn strikeouts at a high rate but pitched to contact and was very effective. The Royals, as a lineup, dating back to last season, have a .152 ISO and wOBA of .287 with 23% strikeouts and just 7.2% walks. This Royals lineup is just simply not producing at all and I wouldn't count on it against Manning either. I'll grab the Detroit Tigers in the first five innings on the moneyline at +105.
