Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox Prediction
We’re starting the day off simple. Not going to go crazy here and overthink what seems like such an obvious bet at great odds. Dylan Cease is on the bump for Chicago and he’s becoming an elite talent in this league. He is sporting a 1.69 ERA and is currently 2-0 in his first two starts. He seems to only be getting better and I think he is will be a serious Cy Young candidate this year. As for the WhiteSox bats, we all know just talented they are. Chicago is on a 3 game skid but this team is too talented to let this go on for much longer. This feels like the game they get it right.
Zack Plesac is on the mound for Cleveland. Plesac has looked great this year too if we’re being honest but I love what these Chicago bats have done against him in the past. Chicago has 33 hits in 115 at bats against him which is good for a .287 average which definitely sounds good for us. Cleveland just swept the doubleheader and I expect a motivated White Sox team to come out and show them why they’re the top projected team in the division.
I feel like the only reason we’re getting this line is because of Chicago’s mini slump that they’re in and if this was game 1 of the season we would see them as -180 favorites instead of -120. This is probably going to end up being my favorite play of the day but we’ll still remain cautious with a one-unit price tag. I think the White Sox are just a more talented team and not the team that would get swept often. This is another one of my “law of averages” picks where the data backs it up but alot of it comes from the gut. As a nerd who loves numbers, sometimes the best bets are when you just feel it and it feels right. This is one of those.
