Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers Prediction: Will the Bats Get Hot Tonight in Seattle?
You might be asking who is the worst team in the American League. It's not Oakland as the experts predicted. It's not the Orioles. It's the Texas Rangers. They spent all that money on the infield with Marcus Semien and his .174 batting average and Corey Seager, who is hitting .310 but not showing any power yet. When your combined batting average as a team is .235, and the Mariners combined batting average is .223, clearly you're not winning games with the offense.

Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers Prediction
As we said, Texas is 2-9, the worst team in the AL and almost in baseball. Thank god for the Reds. They have been consistent in not scoring in their last four games as they have scored 2-2-3-2. There is a reason they have lost five in a row and seven in a row to the Mariners and, even worse, eighteen of the last twenty in Seattle. In the first two games of the series, we have had eight runs and six runs, so clearly, playing in the best pitcher's park in the AL has helped the lack of offense on both teams. Today's pitcher for Texas, Taylor Hearn, last pitched against Seattle last year, and the game ended 3-1. He hasn't lasted long in two starts this year but has given up only four runs and no homers, which is good news. However, until this Texas lineup starts hitting, there is no reason to trust them as both Texas and Seattle are bottom five in offense against left-handed pitching recently.
Seattle has Marco Gonzales pitching today, and Marco has been pretty good this year, giving up only three earned runs in nine innings, and his last three starts against Texas have gone under as well. This Seattle team is nothing scary on offense as only JP Crawford is hitting over 300 (.316), and they have four starters hitting below 200, which is insane. Their batting average is .223. They have only thirteen home runs, and the team is not winning games with offense but with that great pitching of 2.86, which is sixth-best. As we mentioned, neither team hits lefties, both are bottom of the barrel offensively, and the high-powered Texas offense hasn't shown up yet this year. With both games being low-scoring, we hope the starters do their job and the pens finish it.
There is only one way to play this game with both offenses cold and the pitchers having an advantage with these teams not hitting lefties. So we will take the under 8 as both teams trend to under and have gone under in this series, especially in hitter-friendly Seattle. So take the under in Seattle and enjoy the pitchers and the ballpark doing their job tonight.
