We will head back to the Diamond tonight for a matchup between the Cleveland Guardians and the LA Angels. The Guardians have started their season very well, especially on the offensive end. This has been one of the best average teams in all of the MLB after they were expected to rank towards the bottom of the league in hitting pre-season. A large part of that offensive production is thanks to third baseman Jose Ramirez. Ramirez inked a long-term deal with Cleveland earlier this season, and it has sure paid off so far. The Guardians will look to continue their good fortunes tonight in LA.
The Angels entered the season expected to be a playoff team. It is about time for Mike Trout, who is yet to be in a playoff series. Trout is regarded by some as the best pure baseball talent to ever play the game. His bat has been hot this season, and his defense is always extremely impressive. This is an Angels lineup with a lot of firepower, including last year's AL MVP, Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani has struggled a bit this season so far, but he will get hot as the season goes along. The Angels also have former World Series champion third baseman Anthony Rendon who so looking to bounce back this season after a disappointing season a year ago. The pitching matchup will feature former Cy Young award winner Shane Bieber and LA native Michael Lorenzen. The Angels are slight favorites for this game tonight, sitting at -120 on the money line.
I am going to back the Angels tonight on the money line at -120. I believe this line tells the tale for this game tonight. Bieber is the better arm, the Guardians have swung better bats, and yet the line is -120? That just looks too easy to me, so I am going to the other side! The Angels hit the ball much better at home, and I believe they will produce a few runs off of Bieber tonight. I am keeping this one short and sweet, trusting the line with the home team tonight!
