This is very juicy and I completely understand any hesitation but this is a great one. We have the luxury of having two paths to victory here. Gonzales has a start this year where he only pitched two innings and gave up 6 hits but then got pulled but he also has a start where he went seven innings and only allowed four hits. We could win this game because he pitches extremely well or extremely poorly. All we ask is that he doesn't pitch average and then allow late hits before getting pulled. This number is just set too high.
Gonzales, dating back to last season, is under on this 6.5 prop in 16 of his last 17 starts! That just isn’t normal to find a prop that has hit in the last 94% of games. Drinking juice can be bad if the bet feels like a 50/50 or even a 60/40 but this feels more likely than both of those. Tampa Bay hits lefties better than righties which is am obvious concern but they’re only hitting .281 vs them on the year. Assuming Gonzales goes six innings he would be projected to allow six hits give or take. Marco’s pitching outs prop is at 17.5 which would put him right in that ballpark.
Gonzales' lifetime stats against these Tampa bats are encouraging, in 26 battles with these Rays bats he has only allowed six hits. The three walks are a cool thing for us too. If Gonzales fails to show control today this will be sweat-free cash more than likely as he runs up his pitch count and is more likely to be pulled early. There are so many routes to winning this bet I think it’s a no-brainer. Seven hits is just so many, I would take this 10/10 times. Let's stay hot!
