Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction: Welcome to the Big Leagues Beau Brieske
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction: Welcome to the Big Leagues Beau Brieske
This one should honestly be more than 1 unit but I’m too much of a Tigers fan to root that hard against them. The Dodgers looked bad against the Diamondbacks but bounced back yesterday to open their series against Detroit. Tonight will be a late one so many might miss the beatdown the Dodgers should give this struggling Tigers team. Clayton Kershaw is having a great year and the Tigers are throwing out Beau Brieske for his second ever start in MLB. Hey kid, welcome to the big leagues, have fun against Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, Justin Turner etc. This bet is too easy.

So we need Dodgers to win the first half and win the game outright. Considering the Dodgers ML is -345 I would say reducing the juice by $2.16 on the dollar for just leading after 5 innings is a bargain. This might be a rare time I tell y’all not to listen to me saying just play for one unit although that’s how I’m tracking it. As a Tigers fan, if we upset the Dodgers I don’t want to be the guy mad his favorite team won too much. The Tigers have lost 6 straight and against Clayton Kershaw it doesn’t feel like the “get right” spot they are hoping for.
What else even is there to say? The Dodgers are the world series favorites and the Tigers are the last-place team in the worst division in MLB. Beau Brieske could have a good major league career but he’s not ready for a challenge like this. Kershaw has only one bad start this year and it was for the home opener, I don’t see him having two bad starts at home in a row especially considering that last year he had over an ERA that was 0.97 less than his away ERA.
All signs point to this not just being a winner but a sweat-free winner. We’re getting a future Hall of Famer against a rookie. The Tigers bats have been as cold as the back of your freezer. This is the best bet I have today and after it hits I’ll be mad I only layed one unit.
