MLB Best Bets: Bank On These Plus-Money Player Prop Strikeout Bets

We don't have a lot going on today people. It's not our fault either. We didn't make the sports schedules. But here's the thing; I'm not wasting a Saturday with no action. That's just not how Saturdays work. If you're like me, you've got a spouse, kids, mortgage, responsibilities, etc. Even if you don't, you NEED action today. Well, dammit, I found it. But before you read any more, you have to know that my Saturdays are made for bad decisions. They just are. I'm not looking to bolster my bankroll today. I'm looking to get down. By any means necessary. Not just any wimpy -130 stuff either. We're talking plus money or nothing here people. This isn't for everybody but everybody is welcome. Here's how my Saturday is going to play out. It's either going to be really good or really bad. No in-between. Yard work, beers, probably burgers on the grill, and plus money bets. Just living the dream. It's Saturday. Buckle up.

Cole Irvin 5+ Strikeouts (+180) (Bet $100 to win $180)

I already tweeted out that people were taking Mike Mikolas at 2:15pm ET so we start then. But a couple of hours later, Cole Irvin takes the mound. You can't say you've thrown caution to the wind if you've never bet a Cole Irvin 5+ strikeout prop. FanDuel will make it worth your while though because they'll give you +180 if he gets home. He's got the Guardians today and they've struck out 4th most in MLB over the last week. Irvin has reached four strikeouts in each of his last two games. I think he could get five and become a Saturday hero for the people.

Jesus Luzardo 7+ Strikeouts (+150) (Bet $100 to win $150)

I hate betting a guy to get seven Ks but we're talking Jesus Luzardo here people. The guy lives to embarrass people at the plate. He took out eight Atlanta Braves less than a week ago and turned in a 12 strikeout performance against the Los Angeles back on April 12th. This kid isn't here to play around. He's got the Seattle Mariners today and they just struck out nine times yesterday against guys that don't really strike guys out. This game is at 6:10pm ET too which is right about the time I'll need more action. Feels right.

JT Brubaker 5+ Strikeouts (+172) (Bet $100 to win $172)

It's all about having a plan people. Let's say our guy Luzardo doesn't have it. What then? Do we cry about it? Of course not. We'll have JT Brubaker going at 6:35pm ET. All we need this flame-thrower to do is sit five guys down. Seems easy. It will be tough against the San Diego Padres but whatever. We're talking five strikeouts here. That's it. Only one team has struck out less than the Padres over the last week but they're on the road this evening. In Pittsburgh. They're completely out of their element and don't forget they just struck out three times against Zack Thompson yesterday. That's like six against a major league pitcher. I'll do this.

Taijuan Walker Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+140) (Bet $100 to win $140)

Now we're moving in the right direction. The day is either happening or it isn't at this point. But it's still Saturday so we have that. Nothing says Saturday bet like Taijuan Walker over 4.5 strikeouts. The guy is coming off of a shoulder injury so he could easily not last long. The thing is, what if he does? I'm serious. He said the other day he could give us 85 pitches. That's good with me. We only need five strikeouts today for a big ass +140 payday. He took out four of these same Phillies in only two innings a few weeks ago. I think the risk is worth the reward and I'll even go 6+ at FanDuel if they ever release a line for it. It's Saturday. Plus we'll need to make this last since it's the last move for the night. Unless we get down on some Mexican soccer which is definitely possible.
