Pirates vs. Padres Total Movement

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. San Diego Padres Prediction

1u - Padres Over 3.5 Team Total (-154) (Bet $154 to win $100)

*Odds Available at FoxBet at Time of Publishing*

This is why it’s important to shop around. FoxBet is a book we rarely use but it was the only one I saw listed with 3.5 and for a somewhat affordable price. The Padres have been red hot as of late smashing this prop in their last five games. In that five-game span, they have scored 6 or more in each game and have totaled 37 runs for an average of 7.4 runs a game, we need a measly 4. Eventually, the bats will cool down but today doesn’t appear to be the day where a team puts out a pitcher that scares me away.

Mitch Keller is on the bump for the Pirates and he has allowed 4 runs in 3 of his 4 starts. This could hit in the first 5 innings, let alone the full game. Pittsburgh has the fourth-worst bullpen in the league thus far as well so we could see a late-game heroic cash if Keller remembers how to pitch today. Another factor I love is that we’re the away team so we get a guaranteed nine innings of batting. Asking for four runs from these hot bets against these lackluster pitchers seems worth drinking the juice.

Lets pick on Keller some more. Keller has allowed 12 hits in 31 at bats and has walked 5 of these San Diego batters. That is good for a .432 OBP which is out of this world. I don’t see how this game goes well for him if he keeps pitching the way he has on the season and in his career against these batters. If your only option is to take 4.5 I would do it as long as it’s plus money. This bet has everything you want in a play. The best part is, the game is in less than 2 hours away so we barely even have to wait.
