MLB Parlay for Monday: Ride These Three Teams on the Moneyline
First Leg: Atlanta Braves ML +105
The Braves have been playing very poorly over the first few weeks of the season and have had a very easy schedule which makes their April performance look even worse. The Mets on the other hand, have been the complete opposite and are one of the top teams in the National League to this point, so why on earth would I back the Braves here? 4 words. Regression to the mean. The Braves are a really solid team and are going to start playing better and I think they start here against their division rival. The season has just gotten underway but every game counts and these games mean just as much as the ones in September. I think the Braves will finally step up their game and play to the level that they are capable of and take game 1 of this series.
Second Leg: Tampa Bay Rays ML -145
The Rays have been an interesting team the past few years because they don't really have any stars per se but they always find different ways to win and are always an 85-95 win team. Now they travel out to Oakland in a rematch series against the Athletics as the A's took three of four from the Rays on the road a few weeks ago and really dominated that series. The Rays were close to -200 in all four of those games and really looked lost both on offense and defense as they made a lot of errors and some boneheaded mistakes. Tonight the Rays are starting Drew Rasmussen who really figured things out in his last start against the Mariners. He tallied six innings while only allowing two hits and one walk while striking out nine. He looked nearly unhittable and I think he will have a lot of success against a weak Oakland lineup tonight.
Third Leg: Orioles ML +138
This is definitely the scariest pick of this parlay but I think the Orioles have decent value tonight. The Twins are starting Chris Paddack who I refuse to believe is very good and the Orioles are coming off a series against the Red Sox in which their pitching absolutely dominated Red Sox hitters. They held the Red Sox to five runs through three games until JD Martinez hit a grand slam in the ninth inning of their game yesterday but the game was well out of reach at that point as the O's led 9-1. I think the Orioles bats are going to wake up a bit tonight and I expect some regression from the Twins as they are coming off a solid road series win against the Rays.
