ANALYSIS

Baltimore Orioles vs Minnesota Twins Prediction: Will Bruce Zimmerman Rack Up the Strikeouts?

Imagine watching our NBA and NHL bets tonight without a little MLB sprinkled in. I mean, you could do it but it doesn't make it a good idea. It's like my grandfather always told me, "more action is always better". I didn't know it at the time but that guy was 100% correct. Maybe even more. The key to any great gambling night is more action. Everyone now knows that which is why we should sprinkle in a little MLB action. It just makes sense. We've got a game between the Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles at 7:05pm ET tonight that is just begging for action. Think about it. The NBA tips off at 7:00pm ET tonight. The puck drops in the NHL at 7:00pm ET tonight. All we have to do is drop an MLB wager and we have a trifecta of action. This could end up being the greatest night in gambling history. And all we have to do is gamble.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Minnesota Twins Player Prop

Bruce Zimmerman 5+ Strikeouts (+124) (Bet $100 to win $124)

Baltimore Orioles vs. Minnesota Twins Prediction

I'm at FanDuel here but you could go to DraftKings if you wanted to. They have over 4.5 for +115 over there so it isn't the worst thing in the world. If you're a red dragon that needs a little more juice, you could always go 6+ at FanDuel for +255. It's going to be a long summer people, we might as well start really living right now.

Bruce Zimmerman. A lot of people say he's just a kid but what I see is a 6'1", 215-pound strikeout machine. Some would even call him a Cy Young dark horse. I wouldn't but some would. That's just how free speech works. Still, if you've never heard of this kid, I'd say now is the time to bet him and see what I'm talking about.

For starters, this Cy Young dark horse (other people's words, not mine) has struck out at least five guys in each of his last three starts. The only time he didn't get to five this season was the time he got to four. It was the first game of the season, leave the kid alone. Baltimore only let him throw 66 pitches that day. Not his fault.

Fast forward to today and you'll see a version of Zimmerman that is allowed to approach 80 pitches in a start. Maybe even more tonight. On top of that, those pitches are being thrown to a team that could trot out seven guys that strike out at least 27% of their at-bats over the last 15 days. On the season the Twins have struck out the sixth most in MLB so the math checks out. This team strikes out. I'd say tossing a few bones on Zimmerman to get at least five of these look-a-likes to sit down is a decent bet.
