Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Francisco Giants Prediction
Drinking this much juice feels painful but it would only hurt if we lose, so let's just win. Rodon is so underrated, people who watch him every start or gamble on him know how dang consistent the man is. If it wasn’t for injuries we would be mentioning him as a top 5 pitcher very easily. When it comes to this line, I get it. The Dodgers are the scariest team to go against, everywhere you look it’s a different all-star. With that being said, they have looked fairly human as of late. They are 2-3 in their last five games and those two series were against Arizona and Detroit, two of the worst teams in baseball. Neither team have a pitcher like they will see tonight.
Betting against the Dodgers regardless of all of that though is still scary but we have reason to believe this bet has too much value to pass up. If you look at the Dodgers team total for the first 5 innings the line is set at 1.5. Carlos Rodons pitching outs is heavily juiced on the under at 17.5 (less than 6 innings) so for him likely pitching at the most one extra inning we are getting an extra run of insurance. This line for Rodon I just have to take, he has only allowed 11 runs in his last 11 games dating back to last year. In those 11 games, he is 11/11 on the under, the last time he allowed 3+ earned runs in a game was last 10 months ago last July!
On first glance you would think the Dodgers should crush lefties but they just haven’t. They are only batting .223 in 184 at-bats against lefties this year. Batting that low against lefties and facing arguably the best lefty in the league tonight shouldn’t fare well for them as they have continued to struggle as it is. This will be a late one so us east coasters will be sweating out this bet past midnight but I don’t exclude bets to accommodate my sleep schedule, I just try to find the best plays on a day-to-day basis to write about. This is most certainly one of them, we love Rodon around here.
