The Blue Jays are still 16-10 on the season and look like a true contender in the AL this season. A win to start a new series with the Guardians would be on par.

Guardians vs. Blue Jays Line Movement

Cleveland Guardians vs. Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

The Toronto Blue Jays have some momentum after last night's win. With Jose Berrios on the mound tonight, things are looking bright for the Blue Jays.

Toronto hasn't lost a single start that Berrios has pitched this season, winning all five games. Berrios has allowed just four runs in his last four games pitched and is starting to really take shape.

The Guardians have hit righties well this season with Steven Kwan, Jose Ramirez, Owen Miller, and Andres Gimenez having success. However, the Guardians are only earning 6.9% walks. Berrios has mostly struggled against lefties this year and the reality is that the Guardians only have four lefties in the lineup.

On the flip side, Aaron Civale will take the hill for the Guardians with his 10.67 ERA. Civale has a 6.78 xFIP with 18.7% strikeouts and 8% walks. He's also inducing just 26.9% ground balls while allowing 25% line drives.

To righties, Civale is allowing a .477 wOBA with an ISO of .265. Lefties have a .338 wOBA and ISO of .207. But the right-handed-hitting is much more important knowing that the Blue Jays will have eight righties in the lineup.

The Blue Jays will have elite batters like George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who have both slugged against righties to start the year. Teoscar Hernandez could also be back in the lineup tonight after a short stint on the IL. Before he was injured, Hernandez was raking against righties with a .267 ISO and .451 wOBA. Therefore, I like the Blue Jays -.5 at -110 in the first five innings tonight.
