Cincinnati Reds vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction
Cincinnati is still an abysmal 6-23 but they have started playing competitive baseball again; they are swinging the sticks well and have won three of their last four but are still very weak when it comes to their arms and Hunter Greene has been a gas can.
Of all qualifying pitchers (and their pitches) in the bigs this season, Greene’s electric but flat fastball has been annihilated. It’s good for a +4.8 R/V per 100 pitches and he throws it 59.2% of the time. 100 miles an hour is insanely hard to hit but not impossible if it is flat; the spin rate is a big part of what gives the ball life and makes it misbehave, he simply has not been. Opponents are hitting .448, slugging .938, and sporting an xWOBA north of 600.
With all that said, Milwaukee should be able to join in on the fun and Freddy Peralta is good to give up a few. The over has hit in 12 of the last 13 Reds games and six of Milwaukee’s last seven.

Minnesota Twins vs Houston Astros Prediction
Well, this one is just a straight-up money-line pick, my favorite of them all. Totals are fun, parlays exciting but just straight up saying these guys will win and being right is a blast. We are in the time of the year for it with MLB back in full swing; baseball can be simple to handicap at times if you know the sport and choose your spots; I think we have a good spot here tonight.
Houston is playing excellent baseball and is coming off of consecutive four-game series sweeps to start their road trip over Seattle and Detroit. They are riding eight straight victories into this one as they head to Minneapolis to take on the Twins. They are playing good ball as well and I love the tone they are setting for themselves early in the season but Houston is red hot.
Justin Verlander will be on the mound for the Astros and he looks as good as he did ten years ago; there is plenty of Justin Verlander left in the tank and anytime he takes the bump I am going to like Houston’s chances. You cannot sweep three straight series if you lose game one, look for Houston to keep playing their game tonight and take game one with their ace on the mound.
