Do any of us think that the Dodgers lose a fifth straight? I just don’t see it. Buehler looks incredible this year and he has cashed for us before. Walker has a great history against these Phillies bats. He has allowed seven hits in 32 at-bats, that’s a batting average of .218 as he’s been phenomenal historically against them. In those 32 at-bats, we’ve only seen four RBIs. I think at the most he will allow two runs in the first five and that’s thinking worst-case scenario, I see an upside of a shutout.
On the other side, we have Kyle Gibson who has had a decent little year but this is a brutal matchup for him. Gibson's history vs these Dodgers bats makes me smile. He has allowed 25 baserunners in 55 at-bats, an OBP of .454 is nuts. Not to mention, this game is on the road where he has been worse this year and significantly last year as well with a 4.47 ERA. This feels like the Gibson humbling night where he allows 3-4 runs and the Dodgers open up with a lead and don’t look back.
This really is the best in sports, putting money on the Dodgers is always a strategy that has paid off long term for us and now we get them while they’re due, it’s beautiful. Phillies have great batting against righties but they don’t play Buehler every day and he’s proven to have their number. All we need is Dodgers to lead by one run after five innings, sounds simple enough. I couldn’t be happier to back this one and it will be worth staying up until midnight for.
