Saturday's MLB Best Bets: Houston Astros vs. Washington Nationals and Dodgers vs. Phillies

With a full slate of major league baseball games, we couldn't miss out on the action. Let's break it down with my favorite picks involving the Houston Astros vs. Washington Nationals and the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies.

Houston Astros vs. Washington Nationals

Houston is riding a league-best eleven-game win streak into this one and one of their top arms in Cristian Javier will be taking the bump; the pitching staff has been electric. Not only are they buzzing offensively, they have conceded just twelve runs in those eleven victories and are showing no signs of stopping. I am not going to repeat all the stuff I have been saying about them, I do not need to their play speaks for themselves.

This game is mental and approach is everything; both the arms and bats are doing their jobs right now and as long as they continue to win I am riding with them.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers have dropped their last two games despite scoring seventeen runs; they will not continue to be outscored, that is their role in this league. The pitching staff for LA has been lights out and was due for some regression which we saw in the last two nights but I do not expect we see that for long.

Julio Urias is a stud, one of the unsung heroes on this team and a consistently strong starter for this squad. Look for him to have a strong outing as the Dodgers look to salvage the series tonight with a win and avoid the sweep.
