MLB player prop pick and prediction for the Milwaukee Brewers vs Atlanta Braves game tonight. Player prop specialist John Hyslop is here with his top MLB player prop best bet with his eyes set on Brewers starting pitcher Adrian Houser.
ANALYSIS

Milwaukee Brewers vs Atlanta Braves Best Bet: Can Adrian Houser Lock Up the Braves Bats Tonight?

Adrian Houser owes us money after what he did the last time we backed him. Everyone knows that. In the Bronx Tale, we were given a great lesson on what to do when someone owes us money. It was beautiful. If you don't remember, Louie Dumps owed Calogero $20. Louie ducked him and ducked him and when Calogero had finally had enough, Sonny stepped in and let him in on a better way to look at the situation. He let young Calogero in on the secret that it had just cost $20 to get rid of Louie Dumps forever. Calogero didn't even like Louie Dumps so the fact that he would never have to deal with him again seemed pretty smart. It was tremendous advice, to be honest. Very smart. The thing is, this isn't the Bronx in the 1960s and it isn't a movie either. We're going to keep seeing this Adrian Houser guy all summer and whether we like him or not, we need to get our money back. I say we let him earn it back and I say we let him start tonight. Here is our best bet, prediction, and the odds for Tuesday's game between the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction

I'm at DraftKings here but FanDuel is pretty close at +120 for 5+ strikeouts. The thing with FanDuel is you can do 6+ for +250 so there is that. Still, I think the way to go is over 4.5 since we are talking about Adrian Houser here. We need to be realistic. There's a reason this guy owes us money.

Let me tell you a little bit about this Adrian Houser guy. He's not Nolan Ryan. In fact, he's not even close. The thing is, we don't need him to be Nolan Ryan. Or even close to being honest. The Brewers will let him get his brains bashed in during the first inning and still keep him in the game. They know what he is. He's an inning eater.

This Houser guy has faced a minimum of 23 batters in five of his six starts this season. That's crazy when you think about it. He's also thrown at least 85 pitches in those five games. In a day where managers have quick hooks, it is refreshing to see a guy get to throw the ball around for a while. It just is. At the end of the day, you can't strike people out if you aren't in the game. Everyone knows that.

Tonight our guy Houser gets the best possible team to throw pitches against if you want to strike people out. By my count, the Atlanta Braves have eight guys that could possibly be in the lineup tonight that have a 32+ percent strikeout rate over the last two weeks. That's insane. Guillermo Heredia, Orlando Arcia, Travis d'Arnaud, Dansby Swanson, Austin Riley, Travis Demeritte, Ronald Acuna, and Adam Duvall are the guys we're looking for. If we get enough of them, I'd even go 6+ at +250 at FanDuel. Houser has already done that twice this season. This isn't that crazy.
