Tuesday MLB Parlay: Trust JT Brubaker, Joan Adon, and Logan Gilbert to Cash This Expert's Parlay
Let me tell you guys how us vets roll. I'm the Vice President & U8 Director of my daughters' town soccer league (nbd). Tonight we start tryouts for next year. It's an understatement to say it's the event of the year and it's run by the board members. Basically, the hopes and dreams of little kids all over town depend on the evaluation of us adults. We have to be locked in out there. We're talking 100%. No chance you want to mess something like this up. Again, we're talking about the hopes and dreams of little kids here people.
But with all that being said, at the same time, us adults need a little action for when the tryouts are over (7pm-ish). The obvious issue is, how do we monitor MLB lineups at the same time we're doing A+ soccer evaluations? The answer, we don't. We just set the bar low enough for the guys we already like. One bi-product is we end up with even more action doing this. Watch and learn people.
Monday MLB Parlay (+110) (Bet $100 to win $110)
*Odds at FanDuel at time of publishing*
We're at FanDuel since they let you slide up and down on these things. It's the way to go if you ask me. What we're able to do tonight is spread the action out over three different games, while getting a lower number for these guys to reach. If it wasn't my idea, I call it genius but I'm way too humble for that. (It is pretty genius though.)
Joan Adon 3+ Strikeouts
We're going right down the row here starting at 6:40pm ET with Joan Adon 3+ strikeouts. This one will highly likely be over by the time I get into my car after tryouts. We only need this guy to strike out three people. He could do that in the first inning. He may be on the road tonight but he's turned in his three best outings on the road this season. This guy can get it done on the streets. He's clearly an outdoor cat. Tonight he'll likely see six guys in the Marlins lineup that have at least a 25% strikeout rate over the last two weeks. We're safe here.
Logan Gilbert 4+ Strikeouts
Next, we're going Logan Gilbert 4+ strikeouts. I'll give the Blue Jays this, they can hit and they don't really strike out much. Still, we're talking Logan Gilbert here. The guy has struck out at least four guys in every start this season. He sat nine guys down in his last outing. He's a pretty big dude so the Mariners let him throw 90+ pitches per game. With that kind of volume, I think he could get at least four Blue Jays tonight. There are five that strike out at least 26% of the time that could be in the lineup tonight. Good enough for me.
JT Brubaker 4+ Strikeouts
Finally, this whole thing is going to come down to J.T. Brubaker. Can he get 4+ strikeouts tonight? I think the answer is yes. First off, he's done it in every start but two this season. The first one was the first game of the season. Doesn't count. The second time was his last outing but that was against the same team he had previously faced. Doesn't count. Everyone knows that. Now he gets a Cubs team that only took him 44 pitches to fan four about a month ago. This feels like an undercover easy one.
