Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers Prediction: Will the Angels Avoid the Sweep?

We are heading back to the Diamond tonight for a battle between the Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers. The Rangers took the first two games of this series priced as a sizeable dog in both games. That is the case again tonight as the Angels come into this one as a -175 favorite, and for a good reason. Let's get into the prediction, pick, and odds for Angels vs. Rangers.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers Line Movement

Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers Prediction

Shohei Ohtani will get the rock tonight against the Rangers. Ohtani comes into this game sporting an era of just 2.78. He was lights out a season ago on the mound and in the box, being awarded American League MVP. Ohtani is perhaps the most talented player the MLB has ever seen. He will be opposed by veteran right-handed Dane Dunning.

Dunning has struggled a bit this season, sporting an era north of four entering play tonight. The Rangers came from behind last night in the bottom of the eighth innings, dropping seven runs in the inning to take the win. The Angels will look to avoid being swept tonight behind Ohtani.

I am backing the Angels tonight on the -1 line. I had the Rangers in game one, then the Angels let me down tonight, but they should get their revenge in this game tonight. Ohtani has looked unhittable at times this season, and I expect him to put forth a great outing here tonight. Dunning has really struggled, and now he has to go face one of the best lineups in all of baseball.

The Angels should be able to get to Dunning early and then face the Rangers bullpen, who has struggled this year. This is a great spot to back the Angels after losing the first two games of this series. The bounce-back will be real tonight. Let’s cash on the Angels!
