Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction: Does Zach Davies Have Strikeout Potential Today?
It's Wednesday which means we need to gamble. That's just how Wednesdays work. Obviously, there are day MLB games which is great. Gambling in the middle of the workday is just how you live a proper life. There's just no other way or else I would do that too. I've been over the lines for the 1:10 pm ET games and while I do see Max Fried is being offered, I don't know if I want to pay for what's being charged. Plus Max just got back into the Slop Circle of Trust so we don't want him getting kicked out on a bad price. On top of all that, I have something to do from 1:00-2:30 pm today so I can't even watch it. The obvious solution is to go hard on something at 4:10 pm ET. It's the logical option. I think I may have stumbled onto greatness here. Here is our prediction, player prop, and odds for today's Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction
Zach Davies 5+ Strikeouts (+230) (Bet $100 to Win $230)
*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*
We're at FanDuel for this one since they have the ladders. Now we could easily take this guy at 3.5 (-110) at DraftKings but I have rules in life. If I'm betting Zach Davies, it needs to be at least a +200 payout. I'm sorry but it just has to be this way. If you want to take the 3.5, that's on you. Honestly, that is probably the "smart" way to do this but if we're betting Davies, I think the "smart" ship already sailed.
Zach Davies is a tough guy to bet. He's just not a strikeout guy. At all. But if he wants in the Slop Circle of Trust, he'll need to earn it and today is his chance. He's on the road, against the Dodgers and it's a day game. It's the ultimate "sneak up on them" opportunity for Davies. If you ask me, it's the perfect opportunity for this guy.
First off, Davies has faced 60 batters during the day this season. Our boy fanned 11 of them. He likes his opponents tired and hungover. Can't blame him for that. I know if I was a pitcher, I'd like them the same way. Even if that's not the case, Davies has whiffed at least six batters in each of his last two starts. One of those starts was against the Colorado Rockies who don't really strikeout. He's in good form.
The Dodgers are not the type of team that you want to target but this game is at 4:10 pm ET. We have plenty of time to get our money back. I don't know that we'll need it though. The Dodgers could send at least three guys to the plate that have whiffed 30+% of the time over the last week. On top of that, Justin Turner is a 23% whiff guy during the day. We'll need a little help but if you ask me, this shouldn't be +230. Some people are even saying we should do 6+ at +500. I'm not even being greedy here.
