MLB player prop pick and prediction for the Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals game Wednesday night. Player prop specialist John Hyslop is back again with another top MLB player prop bet with his eyes set on Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez.
ANALYSIS

Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals Prediction: Will Pablo Lopez Pile Up the Strikeouts?

The correct way to bet on Wednesday is to have action all day long. Or at least keep it going from where you start. I've already gone in on the 4:10 pm ET game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers. Now I need something in the 6:00 pm ET hour. The crazy part is, that's exactly where the greatest play I've ever seen in my life is sitting. We're talking Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins here and honestly, this one could be done by the second inning. Obviously, I don't want it to be but it could be. That's just how the greatest plays you've ever seen in your life work. Still, even if it does, we can forgive the guy for not stretching out our entertainment dollars. It's not his fault the books hung the dumbest number in the world on him. Here is our prediction, player prop, and odds for tonight's Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals game.

Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals Prediction

Pablo Lopez 6+ Strikeouts (+162)  (Bet $100 to Win $162)

*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*

We're striking FanDuel again but it's for their own good. They're out here hanging +162 for this while DraftKings has over 5.5 for +120. That's an insane difference. If you have to play at DraftKings you can but just know that price is not even close to the best you can get. Still, it is an easy +120 win so there is that to consider.

If you don't know Pablo Lopez, then what are you doing with your life? I'm serious, what are you doing? The guy is the cornerstone of the Slop Circle of Trust as he's been winning K-Props every time I bet him. He throws close to 200 mph (estimated by my eyeballs) and his command is the best I've ever seen. He's a 6'4" 225-pound horse that may even be bigger. He looks like a hulk out there.

Looks won't win bets though, strikeouts will. This guy has only had two starts this season where he didn't strike out at least six batters. Once was when he only struck out two in his second start of the season so that doesn't count. He was tired from dominating in his first start. The other time he fanned five guys so that doesn't count either since he was one away. He probably got hosed by the ump that time. The thing I like the most is he is coming off of a game where he sat down 11 guys. I think he's figured this whole thing out.

Lopez gets the Nationals tonight who aren't the best target but it is what it is. Dominant guys like Lopez can be targeted against anyone. He's already struck out six in a game against Washington this season so it's not like he can't do it. There are four guys that could be in the lineup that have struck out at least 28% of their at-bats in the last week. There are another three that are at least above the 20% mark too. I'm not saying this is a good bet, I'm saying this is the greatest bet I've ever seen. Ever.
