The New York Yankees are playing a doubleheader tonight against the Chicago White Sox. The Yankees and White Sox were rained out on Friday and will make up that game earlier today before the ESPN telecast tonight. Yesterday, the Yankees defeated the White Sox, 7-5. The Yankees are currently the hottest team in baseball and will look to at least win one game today to win the series.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Yankees will pitch Luis Severino. On the year, Severino is 3-0 with a 3.63 ERA along with a WHIP of 1.18. He's looked solid in his comeback season.
However, in the last 30 days, Severino has had a 4.38 xFIP. Although, he still has struck out 26.7% of batters in that same time frame. It should be pointed out that lefties have had success against Severino, with a .337 wOBA and ISO of .333 in their last 33 plate appearances against him.
However, the White Sox only has an ISO of .111 with a wOBA of .281 in the last 30 days with their projected lineup. Only Andrew Vaughn has hit for consistent power against righties and he missed some time recently due to injury. The White Sox are able to limit strikeouts, however, and that could be helpful against Severino.
On the other hand, Michael Kopech starts for the White Sox. He might have a 1.54 ERA on the season, but he's been far from that good analytically. In the last 30 days, he has had a 5.16 xFIP with 12.6% of walks. He’s also inducing just 32.3% of ground balls in the last 30 days but has kept power numbers down.
The Yankees have an ISO of .174 and wOBA of .345 against righties in the last 30 days. The best offense in baseball also stacks some incredible hitters against righties right now between Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, Giancarlo Stanton, and Josh Donaldson. All four of those batters are batting next to each other and have inflated ISO numbers against righties along with high wOBA numbers.
Because this game is the second game of a doubleheader, make sure to check lineups before submitting wagers. Some of these guys might not play in Game 2. But ultimately, if everything goes to plan, the over looks like the play. The Yankees have a ton of power against righties. Kopech will regress.
Meanwhile, Severino has given up five home runs in seven starts and if he can't get high strikeouts, he might struggle a bit. I'll take the Over 9.
