MLB Moneyline Parlay Picks (+474) (Bet $100 to win $474)

  • Cubs (-125)
  • Phillies (-135)
  • Cardinals (-120)

The Cubs will send out Drew Smyly, who actually has a 3.52 xFIP in the last 30 days. Smyly has been a bit unlucky but has limited walks while earning over 50% of ground balls. He should have success against the Reds. Meanwhile, Vladimir Gutierrez will take the hill for the Reds and he's been absolutely pathetic, with an ERA above 8.5 and an xFIP above 7 in the last 30 days. Let's take the Cubs in this mismatch.

Here's another mismatch. It'll be Zack Wheeler of the Phillies against Tucker Davidson of the Braves. Wheeler is a near Cy-Young candidate while Davidson is a Triple-A call-up. Plus, the Phillies have better numbers against lefties than the Braves do against righties. There's more power in the Philadelphia lineup against Davidson. Take the Phillies.

Jose Berrios is lacking strikeouts and has a high xFIP in the last 30 days. That's not good news going up against the Cardinals, who have a wOBA of nearly .350 in the last 30 days against righties. The Blue Jays, on the other hand, are taking on Miles Mikolas, who has been better than Berrios analytically. Toronto also has weak numbers against righties in the last 30 days. I'll take my chances with the home team.

MLB Total Runs Parlay Picks +600 (Bet $100 to win $600)

  • Guardians vs. Astros Over 8.5 (-11-)
  • Royals vs. Diamondbacks Over 8.5 (-120)
  • Mets vs. Giants Under 7.5 (+100)

The Guardians will pitch Zach Plesac, who has a 6.17 xFIP in the last 30 days. He's also not getting a high amount of strikeouts and walking over 10% in the last 10 days. The Astros, on the other hand, have an ISO of .227 with a wOBA of .350 in the last 30 days against righties. Houston's going to have a day. Plus, the Guardians can tack on some runs with a wOBA of .311 against righties in the last 30 days.

The Diamondbacks will send out Zach Davies, who has a 4.80 xFIP with low strikeouts and high walks in the last 30 days. Rookie Bobby Witt Jr. is starting to find his swing and that's going to help the entire Royals lineup get going. Meanwhile, Zack Greinke will take the hill for the Royals, He also has low strikeouts and a high xFIP in the last 30 days while allowing nearly 40% of hard contact. Take the over.

Lastly, Alex Cobb has been very unlucky while inducing nearly 70% of ground balls in the last 30 days. He's also striking out 24.3% and somehow has an ERA of above 5. That's going to regress. Meanwhile, David Peterson has an ERA of 1.89 in four appearances in the big leagues this season and isn't your typical minor-league callup. He's got a lot of major league experience and a lot of success as well. Take the under.
