New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction: Reducing The Juice Without Much Risk
I love when we see major favorites because it means we can find creative ways to back them that aren’t traditional bet types. Let's dive into the New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles odds, predictions, and picks.
1u - Yankees Double Result/Baltimore u7.5 Team Total (-140) (Bet $140 to win $100)
It’s not often we do “One Game Parlays” on BetMGM so I will explain how to make this bet. After going to the Yankees vs. Orioles game click on “One Game Parlay” after that you scroll over to game “Game” and the very bottom option will be “What Will The Double Result Be” and you will hit “Yankees/Yankees”. Lastly, you will need to pair it with something so now scroll under “Teams” and hit “How Many Teams Runs” and take Baltimore u7.5 runs. I see double result at around -155 on both Fanduel and DraftKings and definitely think it’s still worth playing at that but MGM has the best value today.

Okay so I explained how to find the bet, but why do I love it so much? It really is simple, the Yankees are better in every way, shape, and form. Gerrit Cole owns the Orioles, batters have only 24 hits in 108 at bats which is good for only a .222 average. In Gerrit Cole's last five games against Baltimore he has only allowed 4 runs, that’s less than one run per game and he has pitched 32 innings in those last five.
Cole just played them five days ago and we bet it and it worked out very well for us as he helped us cash our double result then as well. Baltimore won't score 8+ and if they do then the double result wouldn't hit anyway so it’s the perfect juice reducer.
On the bump for Baltimore is Jordan Lyles who is already facing the Yankees for the fourth time this season. He has allowed 10 runs in three games (9 earned) and doesn’t have a great history prior to this season either. Lyles has allowed 19 RBI’s against the Yankees batters in just 107 at bats. So a little more than 1 in 6 at bats would register an RBI in theory. Lyles is also a much better home pitcher than road pitcher and tonight's game is at Yankee Stadium. Cole looks back in form, Lyles isn’t great and the Yankees have much better bats. All we need is the Yankees to lead after 5 and win outright without Baltimore scoring 8 or more. Sounds like a much better bet than taking Yankees at over -300.
