Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies Player Prop Picks: Does Max Fried Have Strikeout Potential Today?
There are people in this world that you can just trust. I'm not talking about having an honest face either. I'm talking about real trust. Old fashioned stuff. I'm not saying there are a lot of them out there but when you see one you know it. As a sports bettor, we need all the guys we can trust that we can get.
I literally keep a Circle of Trust that I update every single week. You have to know who you can trust. The guy you are about to read about is as trustworthy as they come. He's a rock yet for some reason the books feel the need to disrespect him in every one of his starts. They've done it again tonight. We might as well capitalize on the situation. I don't know what else to do about it.
Let's dive into my prediction, pick, and the odds for the Braves vs Phillies game tonight.

Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies Play Prop Picks
Max Fried Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-134) (Bet $134 to win $100)
Max Fried 7+ Strikeouts (+150) (Bet $100 to win $150)
*All odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
I'm at FanDuel because the people at BetMGM and DraftKings figured us out. Both of those books listed our guy at 5.5 -165. That's insane. You can't do that in this economy. We're getting squeezed everywhere we go and now it's happening at trusted institutions like sportsbooks? It's maddening. But, this game we play has no room for complainers. We just have to deal with it.
Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies Prediction
Max Fried. Honestly, he had me at Max. I'm a big Max guy. I've always said, "if I have a boy, I'm naming him Max". If we're being honest, I almost named one of my girls Max but my wife and I compromised and went with Sydney instead. This particular Max is making Maxes everywhere proud too. He's getting better with every single start and pretty soon the books will have to give him a 6.5 every day. No more of this 5.5 -165 nonsense.
In his last four starts, Max has whiffed six guys in all of them. One of those starts was against the New York Mets too. He should get a medal for that one since they never strikeout. At this point, he's almost a guy where the matchup doesn't even matter. I'm not the type to target a team like the Mets but Max got home on them. Nobody can take that away from him.
Make no mistake though, what makes tonight so sweet is the matchup. We're talking the Philadelphia Phillies here people. Over the last three games, they're one of the six teams in all of MLB to average at least 10 whiffs per game. That's a lot. We could legit see eight guys in their lineup tonight that fan at least 24% of the time over the last two weeks. This feels like a situation where we take the free money on the over 5.5 as well as take a shot downfield with the 7+ for +150. I'm doing that.
