Arizona Diamondbacks vs Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction: Can Tony Gonsolin Rack Up The Strikeouts?
Waiting until 7:05pm ET for action can be frustrating. I get that. On a weekday, it's whatever but on a Saturday, it just shouldn't happen. We should be knee-deep in action as soon as possible. Everyone knows that. The problem today is I have nothing for the noon games. This isn't football season where there's always something to bet. We're talking baseball here. You want to throw something out there that at least has a chance of cashing. I just don't have anything.
Lucky for us, there are games at night tonight and you juice drinkers are going to love the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks game. For some unknown reason, the books have decided to disrespect the hell out of Tony Gonsolin. I have no idea why but they did. It's crazy. Let's dive into my prediction, pick, and the odds for the Arizona Diamondbacks vs Los Angeles Dodgers game tonight.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs Los Angeles Dodgers Pick
Tony Gonsolin Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-140) (Bet $140 to win $100)
*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*
This isn't that crazy juice wise but it's up there. I don't like anything with a minus sign in front of it so seeing -140 makes me sick. Like what are we even doing? But the people said they don't mind drinking juice so here we are. Luckily for people like me, there's FanDuel which offers 6+ strikeouts at +154 so there are other options. Still, if you're a juice drinker, DraftKings has you covered.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
Tony Gonsolin. Sweet name. Decent hair. Great beard. If we're being honest, he's a beer belly away from being the exact pitcher I would create on The Show back in the day. Although I think his mullet was much better in previous years, he still passes the eyeball test. It should also be noted that he could completely pull off a horseshoe mustache which most guys couldn't. So there's that too.
This bet isn't about facial hair though. It's about filth and Gonsolin has it. Lucky for us, in his last two starts he's been allowed to extend that filth later into games. We're talking pitch counts in the 90s here. He didn't even need the extra time to go over 4.5 though. He's been over that number in each of his last five starts. Two of those starts were against this same Arizona Diamondbacks team.
I subscribe to the "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything" way of life. The issue here is, that there's are not a lot of good things to say about the Diamondbacks. On the season, only one team has struck out more. The same is true for the last two weeks. The haters are going to say that they've cleaned it up over the last week only striking out 38 times in 165 at-bats but those stats are fake. They haven't gone against anyone. Still, Zack Greinke and Ryan Pepiot both fanned five of them in their starts over that span. Tony Gonsolin is going to embarrass these guys tonight.
