Detroit Tigers vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction: Fading Detroit Yet Again
Whenever I fade my favorite teams as of late it seems to be working out. Let's keep that going with the Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians. Here is a look at the Tigers vs. Guardians odds, with my predictions and pick.
Detroit Tigers vs Cleveland Guardians Line Movement
1u - Triston McKenzie u2.5 Earned Runs (-130) (Bet $130 to win $100)
This being an auto bet hurts my heart but it is until further notice. My Detroit Tigers score the least runs in the MLB with 2.73 and haven’t shown any real signs of life lately. McKenzie enters this game having his best season thus far and is 6 of 8 on the prop with his two misses being against Minnesota and the Angels, two teams that rank in the top half of the league in terms of run scored. McKenzie doesn’t seem to play much worse on the road than he does at home so I’m not overly worried about the 10 Tigers fans in the crowd making much of a difference.
Historically McKenzie owns these Tigers. Cleveland does that a lot, we went over this yesterday. McKenzie has allowed 9 hits in 47 at bats against these Tigers batters which is only a .191 average. Lifetime against the Tigers McKenzie has pitched 4 four times against Detroit, in those games he has pitched 24 innings and has allowed 0, 1 , 0 and 1 earned run over 24 innings. In his last 13 innings against them he has only allowed 2 hit total, it has been a complete annihilation.

Detroit is due at some point to have an offensive explosion but it shouldn’t be today. The most runs Detroit has scored is 6 once and 5 once since Miggy hit 3000 hits on April 23. Every other game they have scored 4 or less. Much like Bieber yesterday, I’m expecting domination here. McKenzie should go six innings or so and allow 1 maybe 2 runs. I will fade my awful Tigers until they show they can consistently put up runs.
