MLB Parlay Picks for Sunday: Cash In With This Expert's +627 Parlay
Due to popular demand, we're adding an article at Oddschecker that consists of two parlays. I'm going to add two different parlays with one being a moneyline parlay and the other being a totals parlay in the MLB daily. You can always mix and match these parlays where you see the value! Head to the Oddschecker MLB Odds grid to see complete odds for every game today on the board.
MLB Moneyline Parlay Picks (+315) (Bet $100 to win $315)
- Braves (-220)
- Brewers (-140)
- Astros (-150)
The Braves will take on Elieser Hernandez, who has just struggled all year long. Hernandez has a 5.92 xFIP in the last 30 days with low strikeouts and high walks. He's also inducing just 32% of ground balls and has had a lot of trouble against lefties this season. Ozzie Albies and Matt Olson will be the two bats in the lineup to have a lot of success against Hernandez. Plus, with Max Fried on the mound, the Braves will be in great shape.
The Brewers always seem undervalued. Corbin Burnes is on the mound and the Brewers are just -140. Burnes has had a 3.56 xFIP in the last 30 days with high strikeouts and low walks. He's also getting plenty of ground balls and limiting line drives. What else do you need from him? On the other hand, the Cardinals will send out Miles Mikolas, who has had an xFIP of 4.33 with just 17.7% of strikeouts in the last 30 days. I'll take my chances with the Brewers as their offense has crushed righties recently.
The Astros have one of the best offenses in the league and now they'll take on Marco Gonzales, who has an xFIP of 6.11 in the last 30 days. Gonzales is also only striking out 10.2% of batters while walking 9.4% of batters in the last 30 days. That's not going to cut it. Meanwhile, Luis Garcia will take the mound for the Astros with 26.7% of strikeouts in the last 30 days. That will cut it.
MLB Total Runs Parlay Picks +627 (Bet $100 to win $627)
- Red Sox vs. Orioles Over 9.5 (-110)
- Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks Over 9.5 (-105)
- Astros vs. Mariners Over 8 (-105)
The Red Sox should have a field day against Bruce Zimmermann. Zimmermann has a high xFIP with high ISO numbers and wOBA numbers on both sides of the plate in the last 30 days. With the way the Red Sox have hit the ball, things are going to get interesting. Plus, the Orioles should be able to tack on some runs. Nick Pivetta has been much better recently but the Orioles have done well agaisnt righties in the last 30 days.
I'm not going to trust Zach Davies or Tyler Anderson today. The Dodgers absolutely smack righties while the Diamondbacks have had serious success against lefties as of late. The Dodgers have at least five guys with high ISO numbers against righties and Davies has an xFIP of nearly 5. On the other hand, Anderson has had trouble keeping the power down from righties in the last 30 days. Take the over.
The Astros might score eight by themselves. Marco Gonzales has had a 6.11 xFIP in the last 30 days with brutal numbers across the board analytically. The Astros have five batters with high ISO numbers against lefties and should have success. Meanwhile, Luis Garcia still has a 4.39 xFIP in the last 30 days and is giving up a lot of power to both sides of the plate. The Mariners will likely hit some solo shots to help add on to the total.
