Oakland Athletics vs. Houston Astros Best Bet: Trust the A's With Blackburn
Well this is a crazy fun trend that I picked up on about a three starts ago and am going to ride with it until it dies. Paul Blackburn is not a big name by any means I do not think he continues to see as much success as he is currently; not saying he is bad by any means but I sense regression at some point, he is lights out right now, and getting run support. Let's hop into the Athletics vs. Astros odds and picks.

Houston Astros vs. Oakland Athletics Prediction
Oakland is 8-1 on the money line in his starts this season and nearly all have been at plus money which has been uber profitable. Rarely will you catch me fading the Astros, they are an excellent club and one of the best in the league but for some reason, they just keep winning behind Blackburn and I like the value.
The only problem is Houston has historically hit him well; 17 hits on 53 at bats for a strong slash line of .321/.379/.554. On the other hand, Oakland has gotten after Framber Valdez as well; 14 hits on 48 at bats for a solid slash line of .304/.359/.422. History shows that there should be success for the bats today and I would not be shocked if there was. I’d love to fire on this low total but I don’t know If Oakland is going to come out on top in a shootout.
Either way, it is Paul Blackburn day and that is the trend that has been cashing in for us so I am not going to overload my card on this game and try to complicate the outcome we need any further; Houston is a great club and can easily take this game but they have not been scoring and heading to square off against a hot pitcher. Too much value to pass it up, back the A’s.
