Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Atlanta Braves Best Bet: Humberto Castellanos Strikeout Prop
It's hard to trust someone that has hurt you in the past. It just is. It's always been like that. But the hallmark of a good person is the ability to forgive. The ability to say, "Hey buddy, my family had to eat Ramen Noodles for dinner one night because of you, but I'm willing to give you a chance to make it right." In gambling, that's the biggest thing you can do. That's how you know you've fully developed into a real, actual bettor. We're getting a chance to do that again tonight. For real. We get to back a guy that has lost more of my dollars than any other human being on this planet. I'm serious. I don't think anyone owes me more money than this guy. And I've been friends with actual crackheads so that's saying something. Still, I'm being the bigger man and giving him a chance to make things right. I think he can do it.
Humberto Castellanos Over 3.5 (-122) (Bet $122 to win $100)
This one is at FanDuel but we've got other options if we need them. For instance, DraftKings has 3.5 but it's -140. That's juicy but it's not that much worse than -122. If you have to play at BetMGM, you can but they are all the way up to -145 for 3.5. That feels like highway robbery but it is what it is. At least we know this pick isn't losing.
Humberto Castellanos. When you think about it, his name sounds like a pitcher. Like a guy who can actually strike people out too. Although he only has 68 strikeouts in 96 innings of work in his career, I still think 3.5 is a fair number for this guy. Hell, I even dream of a day where we can take a 5+ move for +200 on this guy. Or even 6+ for +440. It could happen one day but we'll crawl before we walk tonight.

The good thing is, the Diamondbacks are letting this guy throw more pitches lately. In his last start, he threw a season-high 96. That's good news since this guy needs a lot of work to get four Ks. The thing is, he's done it five times in eight starts this season. It looks like he's a matchup guy at this point since four of those five times were against teams in the bottom 10 in strikeout percentage this season.
If Castellanos is indeed a matchup guy, then we're in for a treat tonight since the matchup is perfect. No team in MLB has struck out more than they have this season. Nobody. And although they sent Travis Demeritte down to the minors, they still have seven guys that could be in the lineup tonight that I would call strikeout guys. If Humberto was ever going to pay me back for all the heartache he has caused me and my family, this would be the night. I think he does the right thing and whiffs at least four of these guys tonight.
